chinese new year

hoho im back from thailand and before i know it, it was valentine's day, then chinese new year. oh well, valentine's day was as usual, spent alone. Hmm can't exactly say alone, cuz i had my battery mates whom i spent with in camp. In any case, i realize it's really sad to spend valentine's day with a whole bunch of guys. Oh well. I hope my valentine's day from next year onwards will be spent more fruitfully, or more excitingly. Heh, talking about valentine's day next year, I'd have ORD-ed! Ahh ORD is such a sensitive word.

Today is the second day of chinese new year and by tradition, my family goes out to visit relatives on this day. Sadly, this year is slightly different. Because my family is short of one person, and that's my elder brother, who has gone to India for an exchange programme till June. So without him, this year's chinese new year was much queiter. But nevertheless, it was still fun listening to relatives joke around. I'm still quite amazed by how my parents, who were sec sch classmates, still meet up with their classmates every chinese new year. Some new faces appeared this year and it's quite amusing seeing them trying to decipher who is the new guy. As the year passes by, i feel that chinese new year is no longer just about playing cards, liek what we have been doin for the past few years. I'd rather spend it talking to relatives and sharing experiences, which i find more interesting. Somehow it makes us feel older.

When we start talking about my life after NS, i always feel a tinge in my heart. I have a dream, which is yet unfufiled. Nothing has been confirmed, yet I've been telling everyone I'll be going to Japan for studies. I know my family has our own financial difficulties. I might not even get in after all. Why am I so adamant about definitely getting into the university. Why do I claim acknowledgement of the school even before it accepts me?

Looking at my friends chasing their dreams frantically, I inevitably feel a sense of helplessness in me.

On a happier note, Yui was ranked first in CDTV's girlfriend ranking! (A survey which questions normal Japanese guys who they want to be their girlfriends) Here are the results:

#1 YUI
#2 Otsuka Ai
#3 Hamasaki Ayumi
#4 Kaori Mochida
#5 ayaka
#6 BoA
#7 Kimura Kaela
#8 Koda Kumi
#9 Ishikawa Rika
#10 hiroko (mihimaru GT)

Amazing, isn't it? Yui's popularity is rising exponentially. Grr and there are rumours saying that she's releasing her 2nd album! Ahh Yui!
