Chingay Part 1

I put the title as Chingay Part 1 because im quite sure there'll be a part 2 after tonight. Anyway talking abt last night's performance, it was GREAT! haha but there were much less spectators than i expected. after the last performance point (at centre point), there weren't any spectators anymore! Hmm maybe it's cuz it's not the ACTUAL one yet. (Maybe it's Maybelline) Although this year's route is 3/4 of last year's (cuz there were FOUR performance points last yr compared to THREE this year), we took as long to parade as last year! For your info, we took ONE WHOLE HOUR. oh my goodness. and it was soso tiring jumping around and cheering up the crowds, who just sit there and stone and stare at you. How enthusiastic. And i conclude that the only enthusiastic ones were the angmohs who will wave and smile at you, and maybe small kids.
But one sad thing is that we kept getting stuck at certain points so we had to keep dancing on the spot even though it wasn't the performance point yet. And the spectators who were watching den must have gotten bored watching us perform over and over again.

Oh and the hosts this year don't seem as good! (I don't know who they are though.) Maybe they aren't the actual hosts (for tomorrow) but i found that their chinese sounded like wad some ppl in my sec sch would speak. hahaha. (no offence) and at the third performance point, while we were dancing, the commendator suddenly just blurted out "kawaii!" hahaha omg i bet all of us were shocked and giggling to ourselves. I saw some of the nanyang poly ppl behind me laughing and shaking heads too. hahaha so random.

Oh! and quite many ppl were amazed by my hair. Haha particularly this group of (malay?) boys who kept waving at me and pointing at my hair and showing the (Y) sign. and of course, there were ppl who just burst out laughing. grr, hope they were stunned by my ahead-of-time fashion sense, and not mocking at my stupidityy..

Okay, a picture says a thousand words. Photos!
